IN10 joins Handpicked

Breda, 17 June 2021

Rotterdam-based design & innovation agency IN10 joins forces with Brabant-based Handpicked. Together, they form a group of eight specialised digital agencies, with a team of more than 230 specialists. By combining their strengths, they enhance both specialized and integrated services, assisting clients in accelerating their digital transformation.

More power in strategy and design

Handpicked, recently named best agency group in the Netherlands in the Emerce100, works as a family of specialised digital agencies for clients such as Nespresso, Brabantia, Sligro, Nationale Nederlanden, CZ and Ziggo.

Rob Peters, partner Handpicked: “The addition of IN10 to the group results in a significant strengthening of our capabilities in strategy and design. The management of IN10, Xander Zuidgeest, Arno Wolterman and Bjorn Stolte, are joining Handpicked Holding but will continue to manage IN10 on a daily basis. Bjorn will also work on enhancing and strengthening the integrated services provided to clients from within the group.

The merger fits well with the changing needs of clients, according to Peters: “As brands and organisations mature digitally, they also build high-quality digital teams in-house. This shifts the demand towards agencies from full service to what we call full specialism. A primary reinforcement and acceleration from specialists, but from a smart integrated strategy. With IN10, we can now offer that combination at the highest level."

"The addition of IN10 to the group results in a substantial strengthening of its capability on strategy and design."

More execution power for IN10

IN10 has an extensive track record in accelerating digital innovation through strategy and design. The agency works with clients such as the Anne Frank Foundation, NPO, Boymans, Municipality of Rotterdam, NOC*NSF, The Greenery, Port of Rotterdam and Laurens Zorg. Together, they focus on developing rich digital customer journeys and innovating digital products and services. Based on the mission 'design for positive change', IN10 pays close attention to the impact of digital transformation on people and planet. IN10's work has been honoured with national and international awards.

Bjorn Stolte, Partner IN10: “Due to our focus on strategy and design, our execution power on technology and data-driven marketing has been limited so far. We are very excited about Handpicked's vision and craftsmanship in these domains. Together, we can now offer our clients more specialist knowledge and strength. Not from one mega agency, but from a collective of specialists driven by entrepreneurship, specialist craftsmanship and impact.”

Three locations in the Netherlands

The location of IN10 at Hofplein in Rotterdam is now also a hub for the specialists from the other Handpicked agencies.  A number of these agencies will eventually also establish themselves here. Peters: "With this, Handpicked is physically making its debut in the Randstad. With our other existing locations in Breda and Eindhoven, this brings the number of Handpicked locations to three. These will be used by the combined teams and clients on the basis of 'Activity Based Working'. This strengthens Handpicked's position as a national player, which is also beneficial for clients and employees."
